 Crime Victim Compensation Program




The Crime Victim Compensation Program was created by the Idaho Legislature to assist victims of crime deal with the financial burdens placed on victims of criminal conduct. The enacting legislation is located in Title 72, Chapter 10, of the Idaho Code.

The program is administered by the Idaho Industrial Commission. There are various rules that govern the distribution of funds, including limitations on a victim's ability to receive compensation. These limitations are set out in Idaho Code 72-1016.
